Brett Gerger

Brett Gerger previously served as the Chief Deputy Director of Product Lines and Licensing at the Illinois Department of Insurance and was responsible for management of Licensing and Continuing Education Units; Property & Casualty; Life & Annuity; Health; and Producer Regulatory. Brett served on many insurance license test development panels throughout his career as a subject matter expert. Most recently Brett served as the State of Illinois Group Insurance Division Manager with the Illinois Department of Central Management Services. In that role, Brett had oversight and management for the planning and implementation of policy and operations of the State’s insurance programs, including property, liability and benefits.

Brett started his 25+ year career at the Illinois Department of Insurance in the Producer Regulatory Division. Brett has his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Brett has coached high school and middle school wrestling for 27 years. Brett lives in Chatham, Illinois with his wife and two children.

Lori Mahorney

Lori Mahorney serves as an Agent/Agency liaison for an agent association and its members. Lori builds lasting relationships with member agencies. She educates agents on the value-added services that her association provides to its member base including lobbying efforts, education and product offerings. Lori continually looks for ways to assist agents in any aspect of their agency to ensure they have the right tools and resources to best support their clients.

Lori has 15+ years of insurance experience including personal lines production, contract services and carrier relations. Lori holds her Property & Casualty License. Lori received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Lori has volunteered in various capacities serving special needs and not-for-profit organizations. Lori lives in Springfield, Illinois with her husband and three children.
