TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

Please read these following terms and conditions of use carefully before registering and purchasing.  By registering and purchasing the training course offered by the Illinois Insurance Pre-Licensing Program (hereinafter referred to as the “Program”), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

PROGRAM MATERIALS

Copyright

The materials provided to you through the Program are protected by copyright laws. These materials may not be copied, duplicated, or distributed, in whole or in part, unless express written permission has been granted by the owners of the copyright.

The materials provided to you are, without exception, to be used for your own personal use and benefit.  Unauthorized resale or distribution of the Program materials is prohibited, and any violation may result in legal action against both the purchaser and third parties involved in the unauthorized conduct.

Shared use of any Program materials is strictly prohibited.  All registered and purchased content available provided in connection with the Program is nontransferable.

The Program materials are either wholly-owned by the Program or its contractors.

Access and Modification or Amendment

You agree that the Program does not guarantee that access to the course and/or materials will meet your needs or be free from interruption or error.  Additionally, in order to meet the Program’s training objectives, the Program reserves the right to modify or amend the content of its course materials at any time.  The Program will periodically update, add, or remove content for the purpose of exam preparation based upon changes in the industry or Illinois law or when the Program considers certain content to be unnecessary.

Once the Program’s course material is updated or removed, the replaced material is no longer accessible.

Pre-Test Score

The Program will provide you with your pre-test score.  This score is meant to aid with preparation for the Illinois Insurance Licensing Exam.  This score is not intended to be a prediction of your actual exam score.  This score is only intended to be a device to test your knowledge in preparing for the exam, and your practice scores may be influenced by items beyond the control of the Program.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Program and its respective subsidiaries, officers, board members, directors, employees, agents, licensors, contractors, representatives, or any third-party information providers harmless from any and all claims, settlements, judgments, losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including attorney fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or related to your use of the Program materials not caused by the Program.

Pre-Licensing Materials

On your first day of class you will be supplied a workbook and other Program materials.  Access to interactive quizzes and flash cards will be given after the classroom portion of the course is completed and instructors verify you have completed all required classroom hours.

The Program does not guarantee that materials and interactive tools are free from error.  However, care has been taken to ensure that the information provided is accurate at the time of printing the materials.

Presentations given during each Program are intended to provide you with relevant examples and to highlight specific items.  Instructors are accessible during question and answer sessions and in the period following course completion.

COURSES

Class Attendance/Rescheduling/Cancellation

Program classes begin and end promptly at the stated dates and times.  The State of Illinois mandates the amount of time spent in the classroom, and the Program will rigorously enforce those requirements.

Late arrivals, extended breaks, or early departures could result in your being denied the pre‑license completion certificate required by the State of Illinois.

A $50 fee will be required for all courses that are rescheduled due to late arrivals, extended breaks, early departure, or cancelled without one week’s notice.

During any Program course, and at the instructor’s discretion, if your conduct is disruptive or inappropriate, the instructor may ask you to leave and cancel your course without a refund.

The Program’s policy is to offer your choice of either a full refund for the cost of the class or placement in a different class date in the event of a class cancellation by the Program due to circumstances beyond the Program’s control (i.e., emergency conditions, severe weather, unavailability of the classroom, etc.).  When a decision is made to cancel a class, you will be notified as soon as possible.  If you fail to attend any class which is held as scheduled, you will not be entitled to a refund.  However, the Program will allow a transfer to a different class date and location.

Testing Time Frame

You must take the license exam within one (1) year of the attended pre-licensing class date.  If you do not sit for exam within this time frame, the pre-licensing class must be purchased and taken again.

If you fail to pass the State license exam within said one (1) year period, you may repeat the class one (1) time at no additional charge by providing proof of test failure.  Proof must be provided within ninety (90) days of the class date, and you are required to schedule the repeat class in advance.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, to be eligible for your free class repeat it must be completed prior to the one (1) year anniversary of your first class attendance.
